Annual leave entitlements will be in line with either Agenda for Change or Medical and Dental terms and conditions. For all Specialty Registrars who commence the training programme, the leave year runs from their commencement date.
Annual leave will be managed in line with the Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust annual leave policy.
For less than full time Registrars, annual leave should be calculated on a pro-rata basis and be taken in hours with an allocation for a pro-rata amount of bank holidays included. Any bank holidays that fall on a normal working day for the Registrar should also be applied for as annual leave.
All annual leave should be agreed with Educational Supervisors in advance and submitted to the Programme team online using the self -service Intrepid system.
Annual leave can only be carried over into the next year leave in exceptional circumstances and with approval from the Educational Supervisor and Training Programme.
