Employee Benefits

Cycle to work scheme

The Cycle to Work Scheme is a government initiative aimed at promoting healthier journeys to work. The scheme allows the Trust to provide cycles and safety equipment to employees as a tax free benefit. The Trust buys the bikes and safety accessories at full retail price. You are then able to pay for this via a salary sacrifice arrangement whereby you pay for the equipment via monthly salary deductions from your gross salary, thereby saving on tax, pension and National Insurance contributions.

Financial benefits

  • Excellent pension scheme including Life Assurance of 2 x Annual Salary
  • Home Electronics Salary Sacrifice Scheme
  • Lease Car Salary Sacrifice Scheme: a brand new car, inclusive of all servicing, insurance, maintenance and breakdown cover and pay directly from your salary. No deposit, no credit check plus savings on national insurance and pension contributions.
  • Staff lottery
  • 10% Halfords Voucher This discount is for all staff to use in Halfords Bike stores. Simply present the voucher on a mobile device or printed copy along with proof of entitlement (staff ID, payslip, membership) and get 10% off anything in store (excluding technology products).
