  • Understand why policing organisations may choose to actively take on the socially responsible role of anchor institution within their local area
  • Be aware of how policing organisations can take a public health approach and act as anchor institution
  • Understand the vital importance of focusing on a primary preventative, upstream approach in order to achieve sustained improvements in community safety and reductions in crime and police demand.
