Public Health for Clinical Specialties Course

The Faculty of Public Health will be running a three day course covering the core knowledge of Public Health. The course has been developed specifically for trainees from other clinical specialties who have an interest in Public Health and want to develop their skills in this field.

The sessions will cover the following core public health topics:

  • Epidemiology
  • Health Protection
  • Health Services
  • Management for Specialty Registrars
  • Critical Appraisal
  • How to write a research proposal

The sessions will be delivered by the following lecturers:

Ed Jessop, Vice President, Faculty of Public Health
Peter Lees, Founding Director, Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management
Tom Kenny, Director of External Relations, NETSCC
Suzanne Coles, SpR in Public Health
Rachel Isba, Specialty Registrar in Public Health and Clinical Lecturer in Medical Education

The fee for the course will be £350.
