The South West Public Health Specialty Training Programme’s Annual Training Conference 2014
Tuesday 4th November 2014
Lyngford House, Taunton
All registrars, specialty tutors, academic, educational and project supervisors in the South West are invited to this conference. The aim of the event is to take stock of the past year’s training activities whilst looking forward and planning for next year.
The programme will include updates on the training programme, workforce development, e-portfolio and HR Support and Development. It will look at placement opportunities and making the most of these in primary care, health protection, and in different phases of training.
The afternoon will be a CPD event on ‘What does good look like?’ with an opportunity to share good (and bad) practice and learn from each other to promote quality and consistency in:
- ARCP preparation
- Case Based Discussions / Directly Observed Practice
- Activity Summary Sheets / LOSOS
- Academic and Educational Supervisor Reports
Key points from the day’s discussions will be fed back to the Regional Training Committee for consideration in planning for the development of the Specialty Training Programme locally.
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED
If you would like to attend the conference please contact Gemma Cooke for details on availability.
