Objectives: by the end of the day students will have:
- Explored methods for structuring teaching including -
- Identifying methods for assessing entry behaviour
- Writing SMART objectives
- Using Bloom’s taxonomy to write objectives that develop learning
- Explored elements of teaching in different formats including -
- Practising questioning techniques
- Identifying their own learning style
- Applying learning styles to the planning of teaching
- Evaluating a range of small group teaching methods
- Discussing group management techniques
- Evaluating interactive lecture techniques
