Key points of meeting held 07 February 2012

 

Lead Supervisors

Kirsty Alexander and Mary-Ann McKibben are joint lead supervisors for Zone C.

Pat Diskett is lead supervisor for Zone D.

The term of office for the lead supervisors for Zones A and B will be at an end in June 2012.

Technology and learning

Kate Rocha is setting up and leading a work group to review the use of technology in the training programme.

Supervisor accreditation

In February, Public Health came bottom of the supervisor accreditation leader board.  All educational supervisors and academic supervisors must be shown to have attended core competency training by July 2012.

Quality panels

The first Quality Panel has taken place.  Further QPs are being set up to cover all training locations.

StR group activities

The StR group have agreed on three priority areas to focus StR business. These are:

  • Developing StR management skills within training;
  • NHS & Public Health Reform & Transition;
  • Sustainability

Study leave policy

The Study leave policy has been amended to aid discussion with supervisors regarding study leave and exams. Study leave policy
